Course Description: An introduction to irrigation design and maintenance for commercial and residential grounds. (This course is not designed for transfer.) 3 hours lecture/lab
Course Objectives: At the completion of this course a student should be able to:
- Identify different sprinkler heads
- Determine the proper location of sprinkler heads
- Determine the proper rate of precipitation for an area
- Provide a detailed irrigation plan for a specific lawn or turf
- Understand the importance of soil type and irrigation
- Make proper pyir solution for irrigation
- Make proper cuts and joints with PVC pipe
- Estimate costs of a complete irrigation system

Lab project will include an
irrigation management plan for an assigned horticulture business.
